What Mortgage Costs Are Tax Deductible

Generally, you can deduct the entirety of your mortgage interest payment by entering your deductions on Schedule A (Form 1040). However, your deduction may be limited. However, there is a tax advantage for these costs. You can add these closing costs to your home`s cost base when you sell it. This reduces the amount of profit you make.
